What were vintage Rolex hands made out of?

Specifically, mid 70's Rolex datejusts if anyone knows, mine look like a different color than the steel case and the white gold bezel. Thanks!

some Buckley dials had black hands if that is what you mean, these dials have painted on roman numberals for markers. Beyond that they were SS i believe (maybe someone can confirm here) unless the dial is a sigma dial, designated by two funny o's on each side of the t swiss.

If it is like the above then all markers and hands are made of white gold.

mid 70's had a lot of steel hands... When Rolex went to gold hands during that era they marked the dials with a o: o swiss o, the steel hands had a dash, - swiss -.
