Looks a nice Classic Rolex to me with full set - I’d buy it.

It actually is authentic. It is the first model I purchased. It is an engine turned bezel 1987 OP Date 34mm. Model number 15053. Cheers. Wear it in good health. The link below shows a few models ranging from 85-88. A vid from Keepthetime as well. Looks like a champagne dial. His needs a new crystal for sure.

I have been properly chastised and will promptly destroy my 9 vintage Rolex, PP and Breguet.

Thanks guys for your comments, negative or positive it all mattered. At least you took out time to post your opinion. As you can see the country code suggests that the watch was purchased from Saudi Arabia. It seemed legit to me as the guy selling it claimed that he had purchased it 31 years back when we was there. I am still trying to push for a better price as he wont get more than 2400 if he sells it to a dealer(may be less). Fingers crossed.🤞🙂

Looks good to me! Not what I’d normally go for but very of it’s time. I believe the gold engine-turned bezels are uncommon.

Like that remark, which confirms some of my observations in this Forum. You can get to 16k messages by only writing "Congrats" or "Stunning" or other non-expert comments, this will increase your messages counter. If I know nothing about a watch (like this one presented here) then I keep my mouth shut. No hostility to anybody!

OP- looks like it’s real and I hope it works out for you.

To everyone else who flamed me, it was the bezel that looked way off. As some (that know more then me) pointed out is that it is not all that unusual; lesson learned.

Why comment on my comment? He asked for opinions, so I said what I thought was true. I probably will express another opinion in the future, if someone else asks for it. it may be right, or it may be wrong, but I probably will.

To the OP, it looks real and it’s a good deal. Why negotiate to save another $200? If you like it, grab it. If you think you will enjoy it for years you won’t care about the few extra bucks. Never lose a deal for 5%

last time I put a cheap rolex up for sale, seemed everyone offered 1/2 of what I was asking which was $300 more than a dealer had offered me. I just figured it'd be a quick easy sell locally. someone ended up beating the dealers offer by $100 then said he wouldn't be able to get it for a few weeks but if I could hold onto it for him he would take it. I put it on ebay that night and had it sold 2 days later for 15% more than I was asking locally which covered the fees. I don't understand people that feel the need to lowball everything. It's not like there's a shortage of Rolex buyers out there. and try finding one cheaper anywhere. this watch is less than wholesale

It’s a relatively rare vintage OP with an engine turned, not fluted, bezel. Price is quite good.

My 1968 DJ (1603) has a SS engine turned bezel.

Looks good to me
