My first dip into AP, guess what it is? What was your first AP piece?

15500st or 15500OR is my guess.

Congratulations on your new timepiece!

Need pictures!

Here it is guys, an unworn 15500st with black dial. First time venturing away from Rolex, the AP is on a totally different level. That bracelet is easily the best in class. And the guilloche “grand tapisserie” dial is so mesmerising.

The watch was purchased from Geoff at the thewatchroom.com in UK, absolute professional and great to deal with.

Anyways, here’s the pics!

Still stickers and plastic

And now with plastics off and sized!

Wow, it's gorgeous, black dial in a certain lighting can looks blue too.

I also have black dial on my 15500OR with rose gold bracelet (only comes with black dial) and I love it so much.

Congrats again!

Thanks, when I went to see it in person in London, I was not impressed by it at all, although I did get an email that morning I arrived that it had been sold online. Thought about it more and was a no brainer to add a bit extra cash for a new watch and 5 year AP warranty.

I also did not like the staff working in that shop as I felt they had no interest in dealing with me, kind of elitist vibe. Definitely won't ever be dealing with them.

What made you pick the black color? Any other dial colors? Blue? Grey?

The crazy premium on the blue prices me out of that one (about €5-6k more).

I’m not a fan of light colored dials so Silver was out. Between the grey and black, I prefer the black as it’s more classic.

Two things: gorgeous, and congratulations!

I went straight for the 15500OR as my first AP bracelet piece but definitely still want to pick up an ST piece as well. Thinking Ruthenium is the dial.
