Rolex oyster perpetual authenticity
Hi guys, bought this watch from someone local and just wanted verification (short of bringing it in to an AD) that it is genuine and authentic. Thank you all for your help as this is the first Rolex I've bought. Item description was 1018 steel oval link bracelet from 1969-1970 with a 1560 automatic movement and 35mm case size.

Welcome.
The hands look replaced and buckle looks aftermarket. Bracelet could be original. Without opening it, no way to know if the guts are genuine. For what it’s worth, a modern show and sell AD won’t necessarily even know. Their staff aren’t always vintage aware. But if they have a tech on site, maybe. Best bet is open it up and take many good pics then post here. Also better pics of the clasp from all angles. |
