Tumi sales

I know there are lots of you into the Tumi brand here. The recent man-purse thread got me looking around. The Tumi Alpha "small pockets" that sells for $175 would be a perfect size for me for carrying travel essentials.
I'm pretty sure they have occasional sales and/or discount codes. Can anyone clue me in on when the next one might occur? TIA

They had a 20% off about a month or two ago.

My mom just got me a Tumi alpha passport wallet for my birthday. I think she said she got it at Nordstrom’s

Did... did someone say Tumi?!?!?!?

Tumi has two guranteed sales every year, unfortunately one just ended, and will be on again in the spring, probably March. They have a deal where EVERYTHING is 20% off, but they ask you to make a donation to a worthy charity, last one was for clean water (I gave $20).

Periodically, they will have other sales, obviously on products being phased out or ons not selling well, sometimes these can reach up to 40% off and the best way to keep track is through the email alerts.

Of course, you can always find deals on Tumi outlet (which I don’t recommend) and Ebay. Good luck!

Edit: I guess I should explain my Tumi outlet comment. The outlet store has three groups of products.

Group one is the outlet brand itself. These products look very similar to the standard Tumi ones, however they are... well... cheaper. For example, the zippers are nylon instead of steel. I am not saying they are bad, of course they are excellent bags, but IMHO, if you are going to go for Tumi quality go for the best.

Group two is the remnants of lines that are being phased out. For example, all the outlets right now have Alpha 2 products because Alpha 3 has been released and being sold in all the regular stores. These are also great products, just not the latest. If one meets your needs however, you can save money by purchasing last years model.

Finally, the last group are the returns. If a Tumi product is returned to a regular store, (assuming it is not defective) it is sent to an outlet store. You can get some great deals, up to 40% off of a practically brand new and current product, the only problem is it is 100% hit or miss. These items tend to go pretty quick in the outlet stores and you never know if you can find what you want or anything even close.

Again, best of luck!

Just recently bought two Alpha 2 bags at about 60% off retail price. Bought two backpacks as well, and all four pieces were less than the cost of a small Rimowa. I love the local outlet store
