Welcome my man.

Methinks you might need to be prepared to be an occasional voice of reason here?

Answer to the first question

First question.......do you receive your watches in plastic cases? If not, how are they packed? This is a re-curring question here.
All the watches we receive from RolexUSA arrive with the watches inside the green Rolex boxes. The green boxes are surrounded by a white outer box sleeve, designed to protect the presentation box. I have never seen a watch arrive any other way from Rolex.
The watches themselves have all the protective plastics that you normally see them with; however, they are not sent in separate plastic cases-they are inside the green Rolex boxes.
Anyone got question #2?

OK.....question number 2...

Are you privvy to information regarding release dates and/or furure design changes in much advance of information made available publicly?

As you will know, we have recurring questions on here like...

"When will the SS ceramic Sub be available"

"Will they be releasing a GMT II C with a Pepsi bezel and red writing"

"Will they discontinue all 50th anniversary models after a certain time has elapsed"

Maybe you have access to information which could answer these questions well before the answer becomes common knowledge....yes....no??????

Unfortunately, we ADs are no closer to the answers on release date questions and/or model changes than anyone else. It does appear from what I have been studying (does your website become addicting this fast and is JJ a real person?), there are major differences in the way the separate divisions of Rolex operate internationally.
As with Rolex, they are very quiet about anything they do. We do not know about price increases until a new price book comes to us by FedEx, usually the day before the increase takes effect.
We do not know about specific model changes or upgrades until it happens. Our salesrep remains vague about all of this, as well. He even told us that the M series was going to be the last SD and that the Sub LV was a limited production piece. Seems that the Swiss do like to keep things close to the vest.
As to the rumor about a connection with Rolex and Madoff- I have been told by everyone at Rolex that it was just a timing circumstance of the departure of Heiniger and the ponzi scheme bust that created the myth. No credence to the claim, or so I have been told more than once. But as the Swiss are very quiet, will we ever know?

Ok..I have a question...hoping it can be answered. Does the AD purchase the watch from rolex first? or is the exchange of money made after a sale? ive always wondered...considering the AD's say " they dont know when or what rolex will send" yet it seems like they are in a hurry to move old stock as if they have already paid for it.

Each Rolex store has a basic inventory floorplan that is to be maintained. I believe there are three levels of stores- A,B and C or I, II or III. We exchange our sales data monthly with our rep, who then fills in as necessary. Every 6 months our rep visits our locations to sell in new stock, suggestion sell and to run sales training for the associates. The rep does not travel with any samples- they use the basic catalogue as the sample line. Certain models are on a constant back order basis- the S/S Daytona, for example. The instant one is shipped to us, another is put on order. Over the years, availabilities on certain watches has varied. Anyone remember when Explorers were hard to find and there was a premium on them?

All received watches are billed and to be paid within a designated time frame. There is no memo or consignment from Rolex.
I wish that we did not have to pay for the watches until sold. I would certainly have more cash today if that were the case.

Welcome to TRF! Yes, this forum is addicting, and yes, JJ is a real person (see his post above). He's got the highest number of posts here.

If you don't mind me asking - what state is your store located?

I think it is good idea to allow this new member to retain a high degree of anonymity.

Now one question:
What is your funniest experience with a customer. Like has a guy ever come in and asked to see your $50 range (if that guy was JJ then just ignore this question)
