The Rolex Oyster case is THE best when it comes to water resistance. And their movements are almost indestructible. The Breitlings I've serviced were mainly the ones with the Valjoux 7750, and I have nothing bad to say about them. But just the fact they're ETA, instead of an exclusive Breitling movement, places them a catogory below Rolex. Plus I find Breitlings way overpriced.... But so are most other brands!

I don't have the right equipment and tools to make parts at my shop. Plus, I wouldn't have the time, nor patience to work on them! Don't believe all watchmakers have a lot of patience...

I heard a rumor there was a new watchmaker on the forum. Now I know the rumor is true.

Let me add my welcome to TRF, Vanessa. I hope you enjoy your stay here. You can rest assured you will be getting a lot of questions about watches, movements and related subjects. Hope you will stick around to answer them as best you can.

And don't forget to join the fun here. That's what we are mostly about on TRF.

Welcome to TRF Vanessa and I hope you enjoy your stay. We welcome your knowledge and input.

Not a lot of patience? Being a "cop's wife" you're going to need it. Although I'm now retired, my wife says she developed a lot of patience and I'm still a work in progress.

Haha, I guess that true ha?! I do require a lot of patience when it comes to my husband... But you know I think that's with any guy, not just the cops!

Thanks for your welcome!

I LOVE AZ! It's beautiful living and great weather most of the year. Even today's 110F (43C)doesn't bother me (since I work inside with the A/C running!).
No, seriously, it's really nice here, I have no desire whatsoever to EVER go back to Europe (even though healthcare and stuff are MUCH better over there!). I've been here exactly 4 years now, and I just applied for US citizenship, because I love it so much!

Regards,
Vanessa
