Submariner dial. Corrosion?

Hello
With the sun on my dial I noticed black spots.
It's a 1987 submariner 16800
Is it good or bad? I like it though...
Only visible with strong light

I would have the watch pressure tested to make sure it’s water proof. I would think this is caused by condensation or moisture in the watch.

Looks like the crystal has been replaced. Yours has a laser etched crown at the 6 o'clock position. Previously broken and damaged perhaps?

Er, not good. Some of the early gloss dials have issues as they age, but that definitely looks like moisture got on the dial, not a manufacturing problem with the dial.

Looks cool but the crystal is laser etched and insert is later 16610 luminova.. Hopefully the datewheel is silver open 6 and 9 and hands are not luminova... Otherwise dial is normal for 16800 it's not moisture but break down of the finish in that era... Keep wearing it in the sun it will eventually all turn matte

@BB-rolex
As mentioned above, I would be sure to have your watch pressure tested to confirm that the replaced crystal was fitted/installed properly. IMHO, the appearance of the dial is interesting and acceptable since the dot-effect is all-over. Also, I would think that the dotted look is less pronounced when the watch isn't being subjected to harsh daylight and fairly high contrast image filtering.
Enjoy!

IMO this is a sign of previous moisture intrusion specifically...
