Tourneau Submariner No Date

I was on a waiting list at Tourneau NYC and they got one, but they will only sell if I pay for a 3 year Tourneau TPP warranty for $675.

Is it a new watch or "pre-owned"?

It's still worth it. Grey is way more than $675

I never knew the Rolex game was this much like the Wild West when I decided to dip my toe in the water recently.

There are no rules.

It's like Mad Max, Beyond Thunderdome out there.

By the time you sort through this thread and the responses, the watch will be sold to someone else.

Buy it with the silly warranty and sort it out with management later. Or, don't buy it and wait somewhere else.

Tourneau's own site says it's optional: https://www.tourneau.com/customer-se...tion-plan.html

Yup. It was probably sold 5 minutes after you decided to pass on it

I don't agree with the additional warranty charge. But this is much worse IMO. So you make an agreement and then the second you walk out the door, go back on your word for $675?

Also, btw, you think you're sticking it to tourneau? more likely you're screwing over a sales associate.

Oh and lastly, good luck ever buying another watch from them.

Is the watch new? Does the warranty cover 3 years beyond the Rolex?

even when you buy the warranty it's useless because you don't want tourneau to touch your watch in any shape or form whilst Rolex's five years warranty in effect

If you really want the watch just buy it and bite the bullet or wait and hope for better outcome.

It's 3 years starting on the day of purchase. Not a great plan but not the worst way to blow $675 in NYC.

Who wants to bet that the store manager used to work at a car dealership?

So it’s a concurrent warranty that is shorter than the Rolex standard warranty?

Pretty much.

But, you could smash your crystal 4-5 times in those three years and then the plan will pay for itself.

They probably also offer free watch orbital sanding as much as you want

Yup. You know that new Sub with narrower lugs so many want? Here's your chance.

If I were coerced into that bundle, I think that is exactly what I would do!

Tell them to put it in an email. Send to Rolex. Be a hero. Songs will be written for you. Parents will name their kids after you.
