5513 Caseback

Does anyone know where I can find a 5513 caseback? My 5513 has an engraved caseback and I'd like to get a fresh one. I tried doing this through RSC but they said they can't replace the caseback unless I do a full service b/c of their warranty process, so I decided not to. Thanks!

Why not just have a good watchmaker/jeweler polish off the engraving? Much easier.

Find an AD with a watchmaker on staff and discuss getting a new back with him.

You can polish it off and get it re-brushed, or you can search here, VRF and eBay. They come up for sale regularly; however. if you need a date-coded one, then your search will be much more difficult and costly.

Can you post a picture of the case back. Like seeing engraving and wondering about the story behind it. Quite sad really.

Hi OP.

If the engraving is deep it can be filled in with weld.

A few years back I bought a 5513 with four holes drilled in the back I guess by someone who didn’t have the right tool I took it into Rolex st James and they fitted a new back while I waited
