Hi everyone...

I am new here so I thought I should introduce myself. My name is Beth. I am 38 years old and live in the UK.

When I told my husband that I want a Rolex he didn't bat an eyelid. He said I am worth it! What a sweetheart! I am going to spend the next few months learning about the brand as I save up. I can't wait for the day that I put my very own Rolex on my wrist.

I look forward to being a member here and getting to know you all.

A great big welcome from me, Beth.

There is plenty of good stuff here as well as a chunky portion of nonsense.

Taking your time in deciding which watch and which seller/dealer will ensure you get the absolute best piece for the best price.

Hello rolex sweep, nice to meet another newbie!

Hi datejust1, I really like this one... (not sure if the pic will work)

welshwatchman thank you for the welcome! I am looking forward to some nonsense! The only place I can buy a Rolex here is the local big jewellers. I used to work there and I believe they won't discount a Rolex. I hope I can get a deal somewhere!

Nice one Beth! Well there is this new fashion trend of women wearing men's Rolexes! Which depending on the model looks great!! But if this one is your choice, go for it!

I like seeing the mens watches on women but I don't think it would work for me. Plus I am slightly worried about being mugged for my posh watch so I want something a little bit smaller.

Give me a year of wearing a smaller one then I bet I will be sporting a nice big one!

I tried to persuade my hubby to have one but he wants a Tag or Breitling. But he can't refuse a Rolex if I buy it as a gift can he? Then I can borrow it! Sorted!

You've got great taste Beth.

The ice white dial plus jubilee is a classy combo.

Just promise to try on the 36mm version of it (116200) before you take the plunge. That model is as much currency on the wrist as a Submariner providing you get the 20% discount from an AD or 30% discount from a trader.

It also looks sweet on the smallest of wrists.

Thanks for the advice. I appreciate it. My local jewellers only has a small selection of Rolex. I might need to travel further afield so I can try on as many as possible.

I promise to try the one you suggested.

Beth: LOL! He cannot refuse a Rollie as a Gift!! If he does....
Welshwatchman: She does have great tastes! I think she does need to try on the 36 mm!

If you buy the right watch at the right price you can get the vast majority of your money back.

I bought my wife a gold/diamond Raymond Weil for her 35th birthday knowing that the watch would be worth £££££ less as soon as I left the jewellers, but that was the one she wanted and I just couldn't persuade her to like Rolex.

There's love for you (or stupidity maybe)

Welcome Beth. Make sure you try on a lot of different ones. Seeing it on your own wrist is the best way to know the right one.
