What's a fair price...?

Apologies if this is the wrong area for this question, so mods, please feel free to move if this should go in the classified section.

I am considering selling a few of my Omega watches to fund the purchase of another Rolex. In particular, my Omega Planet Ocean Ref 2201.51. I am the original owner and still have the original box, manual and warranty cards.

Does anyone know what a fair price to ask would be and whether or not I should have the bracelet refinished through Omega prior to selling?

I recently purchased a similar pre-owned PO 2500 movement for $2,450. Not sure if I got the best price, but I have wanted one for a while.

Try going on watch recon or Chrono24 and typing in the model. You should be able to get a good idea how to price it.

Thanks! I've been trying to find comparable ones, but haven't seen too many. Just out of curiosity, if you were purchasing this watch would you rather have the bracelet original, or refinished (looking new) from Omega? It's got a fair amount of use (was my daily watch for many years), but I hear mixed reviews about bracelet refinishing.

About refinishing...I too am struggling with the same quandary, whether to polish or not. I have a nice SMP that I will be selling to fund another and it could use just a light polish. But can't decide.

Just chiming in to say if I were in the market, I would want the bracelet original (not polished). I purchased my PO pre-owned and don't mind the previous owner's scratches on the clasp.

WIS's want unpolished. The regular joe prefers "like new."

I'd prefer unpolished.

Thanks, that's in the ballpark of what I was thinking.

I'd sell it as is, the polish would likely cost more than you'll get back. Is it in terrible condition or just lightly scratched?
