Beautiful vintage pieces on display

I was at Fourtane Estate Jewelers at Carmel,CA. They have awesome vintage pieces for sale on display. I haven't seen a grouping with this much variety. To be able to see them up close and hold them is amazing. I'm not an expert in this, but for me, It's almost like a museum.

They are the best.
We are in town every year or so and I always try to swing by. The first time I was so excited as I was looking for a particular piece. My wife wandered over to the estate jewelry section.
Guess who left w sapphire earrings?

Prices are what you would expect considering the location. It's a wonderful place with the best and biggest vintage selection I've seen in a retail setting. Salespeople there are very friendly but not all that familiar with the finer points of vintage Rolex. You would need to talk to Josh if you have any questions regarding originality or period correctness of a particular watch.

Agreed that people there are very nice. I wouldn't be able to say how high the prices are. I know for some of the pieces I was looking at, they are on the higher end of what I would expect. That said they are an AD, in a really high end town, and the town has a huge event this weekend so you'd expect higher prices

Wow that's an 18k 6239 JPS next to the steel Paul Newman, not something you see everyday.

And a half-dozen 1655 Explorer IIs, including two full sets. Very impressive display, and presumably with impressive prices to match.

If someone is there and get a picture of the third display case, it had all the vintage GMT and Subs. I thought I got a picture of it, but I just zoomed in on the daytonas. They are beautiful

That's also what I was thinking when looking at the second picture...!

Reviving an old thread. Was in there today, vintage pieces were plentiful and it was nice to see a customer in deep discussion on Watch topics.

I was there last week. They had two gilt dial subs and four red subs (two with service dials).

Josh is the best, fantastic shop and always very friendly!
And, think he is (correct me please) the only one worldwide who is an official Rolex Dealer and dealing with vintage Watches.

Carmel is always good for a visit.

I try to stop in there each year when I head over to Laguna Seca for the Vintage Reunion races. Always a nice display of vintage.

I usually stop in at Fourtane on Friday when walking around downtown and then head over to the races on Saturday. Then its off to the Indy race in Sonoma a few weeks later.
