hi, does anyone know which tool is the best for setting rolex hands back on the watch and the cheapest place to get a decent quality one regards

Bergeon makes about 4 hand tools for this purpose with various size holes and flat ends. Any good supply house Like Borel or Otto Frei will have them. They also make units that have 3 to 5 mounted on a stand with multple removeable tips with different size holes made by Horotec sold in same places as above I use both systems for different calibres. For professional watch repairmen or those flush with cash, this $139-item is the best (or the MSA-05.015 for $109). However, depending on the task at hand (no pun intended) and your reasons for watch building there are some decent quality Chinese-made tools for setting hands. I found some on Ebay for $5-$10. Those looking for the "cheapest place" to find "decent quality" tools might want to consider this option as well (unless money is no object and you must have the best of every tool). Just do your research first.

I'm looking to buy the Rolex tool for hands 4 figures and then some but the jigs and operation are flawless. Rikki

I just used a pencil with a nice soft eraser.....I guess if I replaced hands all the time I would need a specific tool.
