Wrist Time!

Since, I purchased my new Rolex Sub Bluesy, I wear it everyday. Then I realized that I have lost interested to wear my other watches. However, I do enjoy looking at all new luxury watches, and think I will want to have this and that. Honestly, can someone tell me when is the time to stop buying another watch.

One is a good number; not too likely but good.

I'm pretty sure this is the wrong place to ask when to stop buying watches! I have tried and failed miserably. At some point I know I have to let a few go, but I keep putting it off. Every time I settle on one I think I should sell I remember why I purchased it in the first place. Thank goodness my wife is extremely understanding...

I am sorry but "when to stop buying watches" is a topic we don't discuss on this forum. It's a disease we are all infected with and unfortunately no medication or antibiotics can cure it.

I can understand as the Bluesy is a stunning watch but I like to have others and wear mine in a rotation so its beauty doesn't get taken for granted.

I don't understand the question.

It's all personal and subjective.

It's time to stop when your 100% happy with what you have got.

If you're happy with what you've got, now is a good time to stop.

The time to stop buying is when you have achieved your grail.
Dr Tom recently posted that when he got his Platona it "stopped the hunt."
What a great way to put it!
I recently got a new Bluesy too.
Of course even though your grail has been achieved it might simply be fun to get another watch to " see if it fits"....watch [this space]..

Twice throughout I've purchased a timepiece that ended my desire for any others... both of these periods lasted about 3 years. During those time, I ended up selling my collection. Eventually I found myself lusting after other pieces, some of which I wound up purchasing.

So, for now, you might be more than happy with just this one, and it might be years before you really want to wear another. I'd suggest keeping your current collection (if you can afford to store them away) and wait it out. Otherwise, sell everything, liquidate the money and see what happens in the future.

I love my Bluesy, but I still have a wandering eye.

Admit, some people some day may get the one watch they love so much it certainly slows the buying desire

My Platona is my favorite by a long distance but still love, wear, and enjoy my others, but no other watch as yet has got my attention

Humm now maybe the DD40!!

Since I bought my Platona it is the only watch I wear. My Hulk is on a winder gathering dust.

All my Rolex watches have gone through a significant honeymoon period when they get the lion's share of the wear. Those periods can last a year or more.

The other watches get their turn, but when it's time to change, I go back to the newest one.

I think that this is a natural process, if the newest watch is everything one hoped it would be and in my case, each one has been the culmination of some serious research, even if at the time of purchase there was a certain amount of serendipity.

I've been wearing my BLNR a lot for over a year, but a week or so ago, I got my Explorer (114270) back from the watchmaker and a full service, so it's been on my wrist ever since and probably will be for a good while longer.

The Explorer is a watch that because of its simplicity can get overlooked in favor of the the newer or the flashier, but every time I put it on my wrist, it's like falling in love all over again. I call it my little jewel. It just has that certain je ne sais quoi.

I think that if you can find that feeling for the watches in your collection and even come across other watches that give you that kind of feeling, there's always room for one more.

I love your duo. You have a flagship Rolex and just a really cool stainless Sub as a (dare I say) backup.
