A trip to the AD today, all 3 ADs

My wife and I took a trip to look at the 3 ADs here in town today. The first two of which I left empty handed, but was told that when I was ready to pull the trigger and buy a new watch, to let them know and they would see what kind of discount they could get me. The third told me that the prices were set, and they do not give discounts, but I left there with the "newest" Rolex catalog. All three ADs were very nice and helpful, and patient. No pushy sales personnel around. They all have a pretty good selection, alot of DateJusts sitting in the case, and at the second AD I saw the Deepsea Seadweller. I am impressed. But even on my normal sized wrists, it dwarfed my arm. They also had the YG GMT II with all the diamonds, rubies and sapphires for $67,600. They also had the WG Submariner. We had fun, and I saw my next watch....the SS Submariner Date. Pics to come here in the next couple weeks when I actually pull the trigger.

The TT black sub is a beauty too! I bet you're looking forward to having another sub back in the stable! Have you posted photos of your DD? Would love to see it!

Should be able to obtain a 15% discount plus. If AD's don't want to work with you, drop me a line and I'll hook you up with a BNIB Sub at a nice discount!

I just bought a Sub today at an AD that I had never been to before. I actually walked in to get an adjustment on the bracelet of my GMT and ended up buying a new Sub.

The GOOD NEWS: 22% OFF RETAIL!! Right out of the case.

Paying cash I would ask for 30% discount and go no lower then 25% off. Cash is always king.

WOW, I'm impressed. The last time I visited 3 AD's in one day....I came home with a very large charge on my credit card.

Look forward to seeing your new sub-date, once you grab it up in a few weeks....or few hours.

Jarrett,

I live in Mexico, and my family and I make trips to SA twice a year (sanity check's), the last one being last October. I visited all 3 AD's, and the one in the mall was definitely the most uptight. Moretti's was the most friendly, and came out of the gates w/ a discount on almost any SS model, but not the DSSD (they had just got their second one); they pulled it out and offered it to me at MSRP, and would ship to NC to save me the tax. I was impressed with both the store and the sales person...he was obviously passionate about watches and knew his stuff.

Dennis Jewelry was a real charmer...they offered me the DSSD for a discount of -$1500 (or put another way, $1500 over retail). They were definitely nice, very courteous and all, but I was not impressed w/ the whole sales pitch about the DSSD being the next Daytona, etc.

I'm heading back up to SA on March 21, for a week, and will be staying out in Stone Oak. I'll make the AD swing and see what they have to offer.

Re the discount, many AD's are at 20%, but I'm not sure any of the SA AD's will play ball. I hear there is an AD in Dallas that will work with you, though.

Good luck.

Good luck with 30% off.

I would shoot for 20-25%. And try to avoid taxes if out of state shipping.

It may not be the deal of the century, but the best I was able to do on my "M" series Sub-Date, was 17% off MSRP of 6K, and no tax.
