New Purchase
Hi all... I am looking at buying the Aqua Terra 150M
Co‑Axial Master Chronometer 41mm; see pic below and sorry I wasn't able to shrink the pic. I currently own Rolex Sub but wanted something else, something a little different. Yes I am a Rolex fan but honestly there is nothing in the current Rolex lineup that interests me. I was in to my AD yesterday and spotted this Aqua Terra, it's been sitting there a while, the AD let slip. What are your thoughts on this watch? Does anyone have this watch, how do you like it? Would you buy it with a rubber strap or a regular bracelet? Since it has been sitting there a while, what discount would be appropriate? Thanks in advance for all replies! |

If I wasn't in the unfortunate situation of working with rabid Dallas Cowboys fans, I would've picked this up. I love the dial. And Omega rubber straps are unmatched, in my opinion. I much prefer them over any bracelet (experience limited to Omega PO, Tudor Pelagos, and Rolex w/ EasyLink).

Love that watch personally. Yes I would ask for 15% discount at least. Maybe shoot for 20% plus but be prepared to come down to 15.

Honestly, I don’t like the bracelet on this at all. I also think the rubber gives a nice contrast to the silver dial. I’d go in the config you have posted. As to discount, hard to say but I’d be looking for in region of 20% as a start and if they really want to get rid maybe a little more.
Usually (at least at U.K. ADs, 15% is easily achievable) |

I've never owned an aqua terra but have tried them on quite a few times. Like above, I prefer Omega's rubber straps over most of their bracelets. I usually just ask what's the best you can do in terms of price. If it's reasonable, pull the trigger. If you want more off, counter-offer and walk out if they say no. They'll usually run to get you.
Congrats in advance! |

Start with a cheeky 20% and see what they say.

Agree start at 25% or more, you can always go for a smaller discount if they don't agree. Personally I would ask for their best price first before offering them your price. You never know what they would say if you don't ask first.
