Going for the Gold

Back when I picked up my blue dual Turtle in May I noticed the blingy SRPC44 in the case too. Soon after Lol-X posted a thread about and I was more curious. I also read/watched a few reviews and the general feeling was "Why would anyone want a faux gold diver watch...well because you can!"
It's extremely well finished and also my first experience with the new softer Seiko rubber strap. BTW, the strap was crazy long for me so after a bit of research I cut off over an inch then buffed it down with a sanding block, then emory board, then blue jeans.
Also my first ever Ebay watch buy. These pieces are a commodity, no reason to overpay. $284 with free shipping, ordered last Thursday night, received it yesterday with SeikoUSA boxing and paperwork. I've had close to a dozen Seiko's in the past, this is the fourth currently in my box.

I agree! No complaints here. I like 99% of Seiko divers. Also a big Orient Bambino fan.

I am of an age where gold looks appropriate. I like to be stealthy, but I find this watch classy, not gaudy, IMHO.

The dial doesn't photograph well but it's really kind of starburst-y. This is a lot of watch for roughly $300ish. Mine went mountainbiking both days this weekend.

Looks great. Definitely on my list of Seikos that will keep my SKX009 company. Also want the SARB035

Rolex guy here....

My SRPC 44 ships today. Thanks for costing me some money I suppose the next step down this path will be getting a SS GS Diver to alternate with my TT Blue Sub.

I had a SBBN 015 Tuna (I think that's the right number for the Quartz edition) and loved the lumibrite. Looking at getting back into a Seiko!

I enjoy my Seiko collection as well as my Rolex collection. Seiko has a more absorbable price point and better availability!
