I have always wanted a white dial Daytona, but after seeing and having the DSSD, my urge for a Daytona is just not there.

Its a fantastic watch and I love mine as much now as when I got it three months or so ago. I remember reading on this forum in the past about how the Deep Sea wasn't selling very well and that it may be discontinued but, from the attention it gets I find that hard to believe - although the price increase may reduce sales rather, because £8k plus for a stainless steel watch isn't cheap.

Just got my DSSD last night as a late 1st father's day present! I'm out of my mind excited

I first saw the DSSD 5 years ago in Florence while my wife and I were on our honeymoon, I think it must have just been released then because I had never seen it before. The shop owner at the time was going to let me have it for $6800US, he said it was too big and nobody was buying them(lol)...I kicked myself a hundred times over the past 5 years that I didn't scoop that one up, but after having just paid for a wedding I was cash poor to say the least!

So after having 'almost' pulled the trigger about 30 times and always having something else pop up, I think my wife got fed up and picked one up for me on her way back from Zurich! Total surprise, I was in a slight state of shock I think when she passed me the green bag Needless to say I'm over the moon and I'm not sure I ever want to take it off, I see my Omega Planet Ocean getting very lonely over the next few years!

Glad to have FINALLY joined the club!

My DSSD arrives FedEx tomorrow! I bought a V-series and my OCD is driving me crazy! What do the various series mean - G, K, V, M? What are the differences aesthetically and price-wise and where can I go to view some sort of timeline/breakdown? Thanks so much! Glad to be a part of the club!!!

hope you didnt pay much for that... fake as can be. lume is a bubble and pearl looks like a blob.

I don't see how you can make any judgement based on that picture. I personally don't see anything wrong.

Hello to everybody here. Really LOVE the DeepSea, it's a stunning watch, a true keeper IMHO, love the size, the dial, the technical stuff behind the case, and it's presence..
Many people complain about the thickness, without even think about the same parameter anywhere else. Many Pams, PO's, etc, etc.., are veeeeery similar and nobody says a single word.
What happens with the DS? Too good? Too good to be a Rolex? Too new and trendy for The Old School guys??
Once again, IMHO, the DS is simply The Best Diver, tool watch or whatever.., personally I don't care much about haters, but this watch..., speaks for itself.
Last week I saw one with the RubberB..., and words can not describe it...

Big call mate...especially for your 2nd ever post on the forums.

I too don't see anything that would suggest such an assertion...

Troll?

DSSD on Nato strap tonight. Since I am doing a bunch of wrenching and pressure washing, prefer it on this strap. I moved the bezel when changing strap/bracelet and forgot to recenter .

G'day everyone.

Just wanted to post some pics of my new (to me) DSSD. Its a 2009 V Series.

I picked it up on the day of my sons 2nd birthday and I am looking forward to wearing the heck out of it before I give it to him one day to do the same.

The last shot is very special to me - im going to get a copy of it and put it inside the box with the papers as a keepsake for him.

Cheers

I hear you. MY DSSD will go to my Son some day. He's only 7 now but keeps asking what the knob and dial does.
