Keeper or not? Help needed.
Hi, just traded in this piece - BP FF, might have second thought now, what you think about it - keeper or not? Thanks for your opinion.
Padi edit And I dont believe this post has anything to do with Rolex watches, so why post it in the Rolex watch only forum. Its clearly stated on each forum header what and where to post in the correct forums post moved. Last edited by padi56; 13 March 2011 at 05:37 AM.. |

Imho
Not to be disrespectful to anyone who like this model but to me the bezel makes the watch look more like a wall clock.
Just my personal opinion since you asked. |

bezel looks like a tire... no disrespect of course. Not my type of watch, let it go.

I think it is a spectacular watch, just WAY too big though. If it were 40mm I would get one (non-chrono).
If it fits your wrist keep it.

I really like it, though would probably prefer the non-chrono version...

I really like the look of the FF, until I see it in person. Just too big. I also prefer the non-chrono versions. You did good.

I too prefer the non chrono version, I actually think it's the ultimate diver, but a bit out of my price range.

I am considering letting my FF go, it wears too big on my small wrists but it's a stunning and amazing watch.
They had a anniversary edition a couple years ago (before the current model came out) if I could find one of those I'd get it in a heartbeat as they were 40 mm but they are about 12k if you can find them :(

I like the look of it but don't think the size would make it overly wearable for a SS watch... Did you trade it in for any particular watch or just to unload it?

I'm not worry about the size, my PAM 305 is 47mm and this one is only 45mm. The main issue is the strap, I really don't like it, and the BP bracelet is almost $3k, I can't find BP rubber strap. Plus the screws for the strap is hex, not the easy to change by myself. |

Wow
You are the first person I have spoken to who does not like the sailcloth strap. Even I am very pleased with it myself. For me the size is the issue. If it is simply the strap I say KEEP IT! The strap is great BUT there are tons of other straps out there or you can even have a custom one made. Also the FF is not a watch youd swap straps often like a Panerai so get one you love and get it put on then don't worry about the hex screws... My only issue with mine is size, the watch is stunning otherwise and sizewise it feel great on my wrist but it looks like I have a pie pan on when I look at it from the front I feel.

I like the pics from this thread: http://www.rolexforums.com/showthread.php?t=165434 , but still look even better in person.
Unfortunately I'm cursed with dainty wrists or I would own one myself. I would keep but it sounds like you aren't too in love with it. I'm sure someone would be glad to buy it off you. |

Bottom line is to have the watch you'd enjoy wearing all the time. My 2c.
