Submariner 16610 (1998) anchor

Can anyone please assist me with the following:

Is the shorter anchor the period-correct one that came with the 16610 Sub - 1998 date with tritium dial?

I see that there may be two types: one has a long shank (approx. 50mm in length) and there is a shorter version.

I purchased the longer version (approx. 50mm shank) erroneously. Other forums seem to suggest the longer version belongs to post 2002 Subs.

I am also willing to sell it or exchange for the shorter anchor.

I appreciate this topic may have been covered elsewhere but any assistance would be welcome.

If anyone has one for sale please reply also.

Thank you.

Mark

It is way more complicated than you may think. Check this. The length of the shank is probably the only thing that did not differ throughout the anchor's lifetime!
