WG GMT Meteorite

I let my AD/Boutique know I was interested in this one. They might get one before the end of the year but who knows. I do already have the SS BLRO. Anyone else have both? Does the SS still get wrist time?

Don’t have neither, would definitely sell the SS after buying the WG version.

Pretty redundant I’d say. A blnr with meteorite.....yes.

Comparatively speaking the SS BLRO would become the beater version of the Meteorite WG version. I could justify having both, but you could easily turn the SS into a different watch that will add some diversity.

The WG meteorite is harder to get than the green dial Daytona. Believe me I have family that is in the biz that are AD. They tell me that when they released.

I think both can exist in a 5+ watch collection. Maybe too redundant for a 4 or less collection. Cost aside, I would take the meteorite over the standardissue easily.

I also think this watch is very hard to obtain. I have inquired with my AD (about $30K in purchase history for me there) and they basically said it's a long shot. They rarely get them and some heavy hitters are ahead of me. They have offered me the WG blue dial twice though....I passed.

One of my favorite watch. I can’t stop looking at the dial.

I prefer this over the stainless steel. This is just so much more specials.

PCLs are scratch magnets, especially in gold.

Love them both - two totally different looks and feels. Both get plenty of wrist time and joys to wear.

I have the Meteorite dial and it's on a complete level from the SS. But it makes sense to keep both as they wear very much different and the SS is better for daily.

Both different watches but the Meteorite could easily replace the BLRO and I have said on many occasions that if I had to go down to one GMT then it’s always be the Meteorite!

You can’t go wrong with owning both and as a fellow forum members have pointed out, they wear differently and you’ll know yourself when to wear each.

I love PCL’s and have them in gold and SS. There is no difference in how they scratch. Anything in normal daily use what scratches gold will do the same on SS.

Good thing is all the fine hairline marks and swirls blend in together over timer.
I don’t find them to be scratch magnets, holding up a lot better than i ever expected.

After having seen Meteorite Pepsi live I said: this is the best GMT ever.
If you can afford it and you manage to get it from your AD I do believe that you will hardly use the SS BLRO.

Agree. Sold ss long ago but meteroite is keeper. I would not own both. I’m just not a jubilee fan so I settled on wg and black ss

I have BLRO and BLNR oyster bracelet so this will be my 3rd. I really do love how the GMT's wear. So comfortable

Knowing your collection and your passion for GMT, I would trade the BLRO for a Root Beer and eventually, if you wish to have a Pepsi for daily use, I would suggest to get a 5 digit 16710.

I thought about the RG GMT but I do already have a RG DD. I had a 16710 and sold when I got the new BLRO. Not a fan of the bracelets of the 5 digit references.

When I mentioned the Root Beer I have in mind the two tones not the full gold.
Anyway the GMT SS BLRO can be easily traded at any time. If you are of the idea to buy and your AD find one for you, get the Meteorite and then you will decide what to do with the BLRO.
