Icon7 My first Tudor, a dial with a smile!

Very happy to have bought my first Tudor, a smiley faced Black Bay Red.

After getting to know the brand (mostly thanks to you TRFers), I found myself liking this specific reference more and more. The overall vintage look of the dial, rose gold hands, gilt style printing (stolen words from an online review), the round line of text, the rose logo, the red crown tube... they all sang to me.

This reference to me has always been like that high school days and that beautiful girl next door, who gives you that inviting smile anytime you cross paths, making you think about her even while you are out on a date with your high school prom queen.

Looks nice! I've literally just been looking at these online.

I've got myself on the list for the Tudor BB GMT but it wont arrive till back end of the year, wondering if to get one of these in the mean time.

All my watch purchases have been based on emotional attraction. I have been going back and forth on this reference for at least a year now, wondering how it will fit into my small collection, if it will get any wrist time, if it is too redundant , etc. Finally, I realized I can't use logic to justify or move away, gotta go with my heart and just get this watch in its ETA version that I like.

Congratulations on your great looking Tudor BB Rose-ETA! It really is a nice shade of burgundy red which compliments the gilt dial very nicely. It's a fun watch to wear with all it's vintage styling cues. I have the black version myself. Enjoy and wear in good health. Cheers!

Blue is beautiful with its black dial and white print, but it is the modern looking version. Gold print on this dial gives both Red and Black versions a more vintage look.

Thank you, glad to join the club. Black is a beautiful choice and probably more sought after, and a better future 'investment' too, but the Red just kept calling me.

Thanks bud. I don't have to worry about 4 more... watch funds are drying up and wife is starting to look at me funny when I show her pictures of yet another new watch that I am interested! I had to soften her up in preparation for this purchase with a Just Un Clou bracelet and a Love ring from Cartier (our anniversary and mothers day). One can say I got the short end of the deal myself, but hey, she - the wife - is worth it.

Lets do lunch anytime, I work in Sunnyvale area. As long as I can drive and get there in 20-30 minutes, I am game.
