people who tell you to replace it are probably new to the vintage rolex world.

faded (original) > replacements

Leave it as it is and add another bezel or two for options.

I'm SUPER torn about this. I actually have my 2004 F Series Pepsi at the RSC now for a service and my bezel (while completely cool and original) has more of a lighter pink to the fade. While I know this has been deemed cool, I just can't get over the fact that it doesn't look like the watch i fell in love with so I am having mine replaced, but keeping the original bezel in case i change my mind.

I'd leave it. I love the fade.

Try to find an AD that will replace it with a brand new one but let you keep the original. Learn how to swap them yourself as it's really easy and enjoy the best of both worlds.

Yes, you really should keep the original as many folks look for a faded insert and pay more for it. I don’t like faded bezels myself, but that’s just me. When I sent my 16710 to the Dallas RSC I kept the bezel insert that came with the watch as it was beginning to fade. I slapped on a cheap aftermarket insert knowing Rolex would replace it and keep the substitute insert. $70 for a new bezel insert from the RSC. Not bad!

Your insert doesn't look much faded, so I would probably stick with it. Another point to consider is the font: yours has Times; I think new inserts from RSC have Arial.

If I was keeping the watch I'd get the bezel replaced at a service then I'd sell the faded one to recoup some cash. If you are thinking of selling sometime soon then I'd leave it be.

Pop it off then go to an AD and tell them you lost yours.

Get to keep your old one and get a fresh new one.

Be aware if you take it to Rolex, they will want to keep the original to sell you a newer one. So advice is go to an independent with a parts account, or remove the insert first before taking it to RSC.

Look great with faded insert. Don’t replace and keep it that way

Yes! Agree: . This. If you can’t find an AD to get you a new one and let you keep the old one, there is a YouTube video on removing the bezel. I do it all the time. Cover the lug at 1:00 with couple layers of electrical tape. Seal the head in a ziplock bag and use a butter knife to pop the bezel off at 1:00. The bag and tape help prevent any damage to the bezel, case, etc. Remove the insert and go get an new one from AD. “You lost it...” I have a new and faded pepsi, black and coke. Really changes the appearance of the piece!

I have a brand new OEM one which I don't need (it came with as a part of a three bezel insert set). If you want to trade, just PM me.
