UK 126660 D-Blue lncoming

Hi, l have been following this forum for sometime after l purchased a SD4k at the end of 2016 just before the model was replaced with the SD43,

Last year was my 35th wedding anniversary and my wife wanted to get something special for me and I’ve always loved the DSSD-Blue so I went back to the London AD where I have purchased my last watch from and l could not even have my name added to this list, l tried a few other AD’s around the area with no luck and finally l tried the Rolex boutique in Old Bond Street they added my name to the list and took a deposit for this watch and l was number 12 on it, over the coming months l would either drop in for a chat or a quick call to see how l was progressing up the the list.

At the end of 2017 l had moved to number 6, and with Basel just around the corner there was a lot of talk about the 116660 being discontinued which to be honest worried me a lot and l was not willing to try out the grey market, a couple of weeks before Basel kicked off l went back to speak to the salesman l had been in contact with and he suggested that l put my name on the list for any 2018 Basel releases in regards to maybe a new DSSD upgrade and to either phone or come back to the shop on the 21st March on the day of any announcements by Rolex to confirm my place on this particular list, again l left a deposit.

So on the 21st l was outside the shop and first in when it opened and had a chat and a drink (still water) with my salesman who was very confident that there be a new 126660 model and he was right, so my name was added to the list and l was number 1, and guess what l just received the call from him to say my watch was to be delivered this afternoon by Rolex and l will be picking this up tomorrow with my wife, l must add l cannot fault the way I have been treated by this boutique and the service l received from lvan.

l apologise if this post was too long and you decided to skip it halfway through.

That’s fantastic news and great to hear another positive AD experience in the current market.

As we’ve seen again and again, positive experience comes from building and maintains relationships - not necessarily by spending alone.

Congrats in advance on an amazing watch
