116500LN Daytona on Oysterflex with sizing help/guide

Hi all,

Just wanted to share my experience with retrofitting an OysterFlex band.
There's always been a lot of questions about sizing, I thought I'd post some pics to help out others who are looking to do the same but are scared to drop cash on the wrong size bands.

So here's what I have.

Sizes of the OysterFlex bands include C, D, E, F, G and H I believe.
And it all just corresponds to the number of links in an Oyster Bracelet.

C - 3 links
D - 4 links
E - 5 links
F - 6 links
G - 7 links
H - 8 links

Pics will help explain things a whole lot better.

Here's size D - As you can see it's corresponds to 4 links on the Oyster Bracelet.

Here I have size F - 6 links

Finally size G - 7 links (I don't need if someone wants to buy of me =D)

My wrist is approximately 6.75 inches.
On standard Oyster Bracelet I wear 4 links @ 6 and 6 links @ 12.
So D and F Oysterflex works for me.

Hope that helps anyone out there that's not sure of sizing to take the plunge.

Unfortunately, I had to pay a premium on the 2nd hand market.

Good info. I think that is exactly right. Before I sold it I had a e / f and it was 4/6 links. I also had this on a Sub C. You got to account for the bigger clasp but if you go off the links, micro adjustment will make it perfect.

Great info. It's helpful to see it with them next to the bracelet. I learned by a little trial and error. My wrist is also 6.75" and for me the standard sizes work. E-E/E-F for the Daytona, and E-E/E-G for the YM.

Nice! Yeah trial and error for me too. Hopefully this will save others some $$.

Good and helpful info!

For others asking about how to obtain one - it really comes down to if you have an AD that is willing to order one for you. Most (if not all) will at least require you to provide a serial number of a watch that originally comes with the strap. Some may very well ask you to present the physical watch, and some might only do it on a one for one exchange basis. RSC policy is strict in this respect - you pay full price for the bands and they keep your old one.

Otherwise, you can buy the odd one that comes up on the forum.

What end links are you using, that would really help!

Yeah, I had to wait around until the right sizes for me popped up. Brought them a single band at a time.

They appear to be Smartyjones18 endlinks. Quite good.

Smarty End Links. They do the job, but if you're super anal, I don't think it's gonna cut it.

There's not many choices out there, and after reading everyone raving about smarty end links, I assumed they were the best on the market. They are very good end links, but it's definitely not Rolex OEM quality. But at the price point, don't think anyone should be expecting that.

I'm glad I'm not the only one that thinks that. The finishing is a bit rough and there's a tiny bit of play on the endlink. But it looks better with it than without it, and on the wrist it's a non-issue.
