Changes weekly...today Sub 114060, GMT 216710 BLRO, PP 5146J or 5196J
Have the dress watch itch again lately. Most of the time when I answer this question it would be 3 Subs from different eras.

Rolex Explorer, Omega SpeedMaster Moonwatch, ALS Saxonia Thin.

I have the Rolex, the others should hopefully arrive in the next couple years.

Thanks buddy! That means a lot coming from someone with such a deep and impressive bench.

I figured this representation ticks a lot of boxes for just keeping it to three: bracelet/strap; sports/dress; PM/SS; Chronograph/Time Only/GMT; and diversity of brands. But mostly I just love these three more than anything else I own.

Beyond these, I consider the rest of my collection and everything on my wishlist as “extra” and not as essential.

I could definitely pick out 3 watches I currently own to keep as my only watches for the rest of my life. But if we're talking money no object, I think there are too many watches. When I think about 2-3 watches, I remember a few others I'd want to have---and I'd like to have a beater. I'd probably start with an ALS Zeitwerk and almost anything from FPJ. The last position? I suppose it's partially dependent on what FPJ I end up with. I could see the third position going to a Daytona or one of the custom RGM watches or my GO panoreserve. Or maybe none of them.

For a money no object collection, I think I'd need to have 6 choices to be comfortable and not feel like I'm really missing out on something.

It’s really great to see everyone’s ideal 3

Mine would be:

Rolex 126710blro travel watch which can easily do casual/ dressy.
Panerai 690 - love this watch and it’s a manual wind for something a bit different.
Rolex 114060 - because I think every collection needs a Rolex diver.

A Patek World Time, Rolex Sub, and Omega Speedmaster would be a pretty killer trio.
