How many people have owned multiple Rolex, but never a Sub?

I fall in that category. Not sure I'll ever buy one (but if anyone is donating one, I'll be the first in line LOL).

Just curious.

I made it through four before giving in to the Sub. Couldn't resist.

I have had eleven Rolex, currently have two, and never a Submariner. I did have a DSSD when the first came out, kept that close to three years.
Weirdly I’ve had lots of divers from many other brands, just never desired a Sub.

I really like Sub but not the modern ones. So I only have a 5513, while having 7 Daytonas, 2 GMTs and 3 Milgauss.

Had a GMT II - the polished links drove me mad. Sub is a great daily tool watch. Can be dressed up or down...last two have been subs.

Have had 6 Rolex go through my watch life. Auto Daytonas, GMT IIs, even a Datejust. Have never had a Sub. Probably will never get one. Do have divers from Tudor and IWC Porsche Design though.

Two so far- no Sub, though I do own the YM, and I don't specifically NOT want a Sub at some point (just a very specific one, if I do). I could just as easily see myself owning 5-10 or more Rolexes throughout my lifetime and never having a Sub, or a 16800 being my next one.

3 so far with my second being a Sub - for me, the Sub is a must have for all Rolex fans - but that's just my view...

Interesting question...I'm in that group too. I've had:

2 - Explorer II
3 - Explorer (2 mk1's and 1 mk2)
2 - Milgauss
2 - GMT (1 black and 1 pepsi)
1 - Air-King
1 - Sea-Dweller

I am thinking really hard about adding a two tone Sub for my 50th birthday in three years though. Well actually I'm sort of thinking of the full gold one too.

Well had I read the entire post I could have just said "ditto." I've also had 11 and currently have 2.

Interesting. Have 5 but no sub. Always appreciate when I see on others but not in my future. GMTs and Daytona are my tool watches.

Own 4, but never a Sub. I’ve purchased several Subs as gifts for family members though. They LOVE them. Closest thing I have to a sub is a 16600.

Gifted a datejust by my dad that i still have that started the rolex bug. Bought a deepsea on my own which has since been sold. Got a yachtmaster on my sons birthyear which is still my daily watch(one day it will be his). Had a couple GMTs that has since been sold.

Never owned a sub as everyone seems to be wearing one where I'm from.

All 5-digits of course.

Had an 114060 but I felt it was too big (for my wrist). Was able to trade it to a 5513 and while the size was perfect, it just felt too vintage for my taste.

I don't see myself owning a Submariner again for the next 10-30 years, or however long it will take Rolex to (maybe) go down in size.

I definitely understand why people want to have one in their collection. You can't argue that it's one of the most iconic watches of all time.

No sub here. That's not to say that I don't like it; on the contrary, it is in my mind pretty close to the most important model in Rolex's collection. Rather, I have a love-hate relationship with the idea of owning one. Primarily, the prices are beyond what I'm willing to pay for one...I think my sweet spot for snagging the iconic model passed sometime in the 5-digit era!

Cheers to all who own and love theirs -- it is a great watch

There are so many great divers out there from other brands, and so many people out there wearing Subs, that the Sub is possibly one of the least interesting Rolexes. That said, I still think about a Bluesy...

Count me in. I've had more than several non-submariners:
Explorer ii polar, daytona, sd4k, dssd, gmt coke, gmt 50th anniversary

Maybe one day I'll get the new sub. I kinda like the slimmer lugs.

Me, until last year when I went to my AD to pick up a Batman 2.0 and was offered 2. I took the Sipib but passed on the Sub date and few other watches.
