I'll have none of that. You simply cannot beat a Glidelock feature. I have a couple of others with Easylink (Daytona, YM) but can never get a good fit with them, those are either too loose or too tight no matter where I set the adjustment or add/take away a link.

The Submariner bracelet offers a 'perfect' fit, you cannot beat 'perfect'.

The OP is inferior in all respects, including the clasp. It only comes with the Oysterclasp, no Oysterlock, thus offers less protection against inadvertently opening up the clasp.

Preferential? Perhaps.
Elegance in simplicity? Sure.
Superior? No way.

It's not better. It's just different and simpler, which appeals to you. That does not make it superior.

Also, I don't like their engraved vs embossed crown on the clasp. (preference).

Cheers.

My OP doesn't have easylink though, but I don't really need it either.

I somehow feel like the sub clasp is more secure though ?

Because of the flip lock

I had a Datejust with a super jubilee bracelet

And the bracelet opened on me twice ny accident

It scared the crap out of me.

Even if they were both glide lock, I still prefer the safety of the flip lock

Sky diving?

My gosh.

That’s my greatest fear haha

Did you take a wrist shot while in the air?!

That would be so awesome

Specially with that green dial

I’d personally opt for it on all oysters given the choice.
this is your sign to quit drinking.

glidelock is #1 in rolex clasps.

I disagree it’s inelegant and there’s room for improvement.

I have no use for any adjust ability. The clasp to me is an insignificant feature, and I have no problem with the old stamped types. They hold the watch on and fold away very neatly. Also weighing very little. I'm not suggesting a resurgence but the clasps have become an extra wrist unit to be expected at a certain standard befitting a price point. Just a downright BIG unit in some cases. Nicely engineered though.

I added an easy-link to my OP39 clasp and I have to agree with you, I prefer it to my BLNR clasp

Agreed, I believe this clasp does exist on the 126655 YM

I'm going to give the DSSD the edge here, although the Pelagos is a very close second. If they'd just make a half link for the Pelagos or have one more adjustment stop on the clasp, I'd probably call it a tie.
