My Rolex was struck by lighting

Now I'm feeling blue.

Fantastic picture. Looks great on you.

There are several watches that I have always drooled over and keep mulling it over whether I want to add or not, and this is at the TOP of the list.

Very nice! Trying to decide between a Milgauss, Explorer I or OP41 as a dress watch.

Thank you my friend, I have to admit when I picked it up I wasn't super ecstatic over it at first - probably because it was the third watch I picked up that month.

I picked it up at my AD, brought it home in the box. Looked at it in the evening, nice for sure. Back in the box.. Then I wore it 2 times and I was absolutely in love. Now it's one of my all-time favourite watches that I have. You really get to love it more and more each time you wear it.

Puah, let's see. I'd immediate remove the Explorer 1 from the lineup, just because it's not really a 'dresswatch'. It certainly can be worn as one, but looking at the heritage it's not its purpose.

That leaves the Milgauss vs OP41 where the OP41 comes out on top. The case is just a lot dressier and elegant. Same for the dial, in particular the hour hands of the OP41 win. I wouldn't call the lightning bolt seconds hand on the Milgauss very elegant :-)

So for me, if I was looking for a watch to function mainly as a dresswatch, I'd pick the OP41.

If I was looking for an everyday kind of wear with wrist presence, I'd go Milgauss. Polished centerlinks, that dial, that crystal, the bigger case. It definitely makes more of a statement than the OP.

Personally I'd only be looking at the Explorer if I was going on a lot of 'adventures'. Whether that would be hiking in mountains , camping etc. I think just because of the heritage and history of the Explorer, I'd want to use it for those purposes.

I mean, way cooler knowing the watch you're wearing while hiking around amateur trails, is actually a watch that went up Mt. Everest several times. I'd at least find enjoyment in that. Way more than wearing a Batgirl GMT Jubilee on a hike
