Are Rolex prices going up 10% in January?

Should I be under pressure into buying before the end of the year. Buying a gold watch with 10% increase is hefty.

What do you all think?

Doesn't seem like an appropriate time to do so IMHO.

Look a plain and simple fact only Rolex knows when any price rise will occur so speculation is a waste of valuable time. And if you ask around you might get a possible discount on some PM watches no harm in asking,as in the real world they are quite slow sellers in general.

1. There was one already back in 2019
2. State of the economy and uncertainty

We might see a price hike during 2021, but my guess is further into the year rather than January.

My guess is they will quietly raise some prices when they release new models like they did in Sept (based on UK market).

My bad, I thought they did it each year. I don't know where the rumor is from but some local watch guys with insight have reported on it as well here in Europe.

Of course nothing official but they're talking about a 6-7% increase.

usually the ADs will catch wind beforehand and let their clients know in advance.
So far there is no whisper of such thing in the U.K.

Thanks Luke. Good info as I am on the list for a few things. So would be a bit gutted for the sake of a month.

Side note. UK availability is picking up. I just picked up a Wimbledon DJ41. I think so many people are on multiple lists they say no when called. Def don't think I was first choice but was happy to get the call.

Hope Rolex doesn't follow AP (raise 7% in Nov. 1).

1. They’re a business so it’s their call.

2. Wouldn’t surprise me.

3. Wouldn’t disappoint me.

4. Guys that buy hard to get models from AD, can definitely afford to pay more. The rest buy resale or grey.

AP, Patek, and VC all raised prices this year, pandemic be damned. Would not be surprising at all if Rolex does the same.

Does it really matter? If you want the watch and can find it now you should buy it if you can afford it. Nothing is getting cheaper.

Be interested to know who these 'watch guys' are, that Rolex break strict corporate policy so they can tip them off.

Would not shock me at all if Rolex does a 5% - 8% increase in Jan 2021. People forget we went how long before the last increase? 6 years?

Buy what you want as soon as you want. Trying to "time the market" is ridiculous. It's a watch, not a stock.

Personally I think it's irrelevant, watches are only going to get more expensive regardless. 10% on a PM Rolex should not make much of a difference at that level. Either you can buy or you can't.
