Icon20 Omega Aqua Terra Automatic 231.20.30.20.55.004

Is the Aqua Terra Automatic a new line for Omega? I cannot find any used 231.20.30.20.55.004 online to purchase? For those of you that know, is this a GREAT watch, or just OK?? I cannot seem to find any reviews for this watch, and I am considering one for my wife to replace her Rolex YG DJ (if feedback received is good). Thank you!

It's relatively new, you just won't find many online because:

a) Not many women go for an Automatic Omega
b) The bi-metal Aqua Terra is a low demand item
c) Most people will go for the safe option and buy Rolex at that price point

That's not to say that the Aqua Terra is a very good watch - it's superb. It has a 2nd generation Co-Axial movement (cal. 8520), a 4 year guarantee, and a 150m WR rating. Is it better than a modern Datejust? Hard to say, Rolex's ladies movements are well known for their impressive timekeeping and reliability. All I know from my experience is that the quartz lady's Aqua Terra was the only AT that sold

Chris -

Thank you for a great rundown. You sure know your watches! I enjoy your various post throughout the forum. They are always clear, intelligent and well thought out. Thank you for the rundown my friend.

P.s. Any good recommendations for a reputable Omega dealer on the forum?

My wife has a Rolex DJ now, and I was going to try something a little different for her this time. The steel is appealing, since the band will last longer than her current gold one. I like the look of this watch quite a bit. Cheers.
