Rolex Tinder- Finally Swiped Right!!

My last relationship with a GMT didn't work out... beautiful and fun but a 1675, so always asking to be wound and never making things easy on me. Like a lot of gorgeous ladies, she was just too complicated.

So I decided to dump her, but after a short period of playing the field with some of the other pieces in my collection, I started pining for another spin with a pretty red (and blue) lady.

For months I played Rolex tinder, swiping left as GMT after GMT appeared before me. Re-lumed plots? No thanks- I like my gals to be their natural color. Replacement hands? Sorry, but I don't consider that an 'enhancement'. Pristine bezel insert? Not for me... I'm a man who cherishes the signs of aging.

There were a few who interested me... I'd swipe right and for one reason or another, I couldn't close the deal. Maybe something about it didn't feel right, or maybe they were talking to another guy already. A few times I thought I had a shot but the girls turned out to be gold diggers, so I took a pass.

But finally this week I found her. A gorgeous 16750 from 1979. She was all natural, aging beautifully, with a sharp body rarely seen after 35 years of hard living. Because she had quickset, I knew she wouldn't get on my nerves every time we saw each other after a few days absence. We also had a friend in common- Jacek from HQ Milton- so I knew she was the real deal, and knew we'd get along. Of course, she's a classy gal so I won't say she's exactly cheap, but she's no highway robber either.

Today we met for the first time, and I couldn't be happier. We get along really well, and I can't stop looking at her... touching her... taking pictures of her... Love at first sight? If you believe in that, then yes.

And luckily she's super cool with an open relationship!

I can't wait to spend a lifetime with her, friends, and I hope you all one day feel like I feel right now.

Great story and great watch!

Although your common friend has nicer pictures from her posing, she still is a natural beauty in your hands as well

I'm the first to admit I need to learn how to take pictures that capture the real beauty! You'll all just have to trust she's as beautiful as I described.

I was wondering how many of our members got the "swipe right" comment. Great watch and a very clever analogy.

As an aside, it's fun having a drink with my single friends and "swiping right" on their phones as fast and as many as I can while they're away at the bar. Usually leads to an hour or more of entertainment.

Thanks. I was looking for a beaten up one. Love how unique it is and how it shows this watch was actually enjoyed over the past 35 years, rather than stuck in a vault.
