Blancpain 500 fathoms 2009 Cannes edition

I'm considering buying the titanium 500 fathoms 2009 Cannes limited edition.
It looks stunning and with only 50 ever made.
Does anyone have one or know much about this model?
Priced at £15500, is it likely to hold it's value in future?

Unlikely, but never say never – who knows what’ll happen in 5 years from now, or longer.
Blancpain aren’t a coveted brand or even all that widely known, and the 500 is a big watch, so won’t appeal to the same number of people as a 40mm LE FF.
As with any watch, irrespective of brand name, buy it if it grabs your attention and the price is doable.

ditto. But bear in mind that the Fifty Fathoms rocks!

Blancpain 500 has got its own group of followers. Just like any other high-end brand, it's difficult to speculate value in future. But it being a LE, it can possibly hold but that's just my opinion.

I googled the watch to check what it is. If value holding is one of your considerations about that watch, i recommend you not to buy it. BP is similar to IWC etc. at the second hand market. If you insist on BP i would recommend you the new Barracuda or No Radiation. Dont know anything about your collection but if i were you i would definitely consider the SD43 mk1.

The 500 Fathoms are awesome watches! I have a 500 Fathoms GMT and have toyed with the idea of picking up a Cannes edition as well. These really are great watches, the titanium and short lugs make them so easy to wear for their size, the hand finishing of the movement and white gold rotor are a bargain in in this price category, and the hands and dial are spectacular. If you want one of the best luxury dive watches ever made, the 500 Fathoms is it. However, if you want an investment or store of value buy equities or gold coins.
