Any idea what model this is?

Just bought it off the bay.

After reading this forum for the last couple of weeks, I'm getting the itch for some pens. Does anyone know what model this is and/or what refills it would take so I can grab them before the pen arrives?

Thanks peeps!

That's a very nice Waterman. They are made in France, Waterman make lovely fountain pens and they are a joy to write with.

I think that one comes with a cartridge converter so you can either use Bottled ink (cheaper in the long run and you have a huge choice of makers and colours out there!) or waterman cartridge which you could pick up from any good stationers.

If you are in Vancouver we have a good selection of pen stores, the one in sears downtown, essence du papier has waterman cartridges in stock.
It looks in new condition Congratulations!

You don't need to use the manufactures own ink by the way, it is fine on the whole to use other makes of ink! The waterman blue though is a particularly nice shade of blue I think!

That is a Water Phileas fountain pen. The cost on the pre-loved is about $40.00 and they do write very well.

They are not a high quality FP, but very good in their class!

Thanks for the help :) Should be good 'till i find a sweet deal on something vintage. Any suggestions on what to look for? I don't mean rare, but something workable and smooth and solid that would normally go for under $100?

Thanks again!

For $100.00 or so you should be able to come up with a Sheaffer Balance or perhaps a Parker 51 or 61. Both great pens.
