Oyster v Jubilee Crownclasp bracelet selection

I've noticed the Oyster bracelet on a lot of Datejust models, most of which are dress watches. The Oyster bracelet design seems best paired with one of Rolex's sport watches, i.e., Submariner, Yachtmaster, GMT, etc.

Curious to know the forum's thoughts on the Jubilee Crownclasp bracelet paired with a Datejust instead of the Oyster bracelet.

You are right that the Oyster bracelets go realy well with the sport models and the Jubilee looks dressier. But better an Oystr bracelet on a dress watch (with which the bracelet goes quite well and also helps tone the dressiness a bit) than a Jubilee on a GMT. I personally prefer the Oyster bracelet even n my Datejust. It has that understated and also solid, if not rugged, effect.

I really like the looks of the oyster bracelet on DJīs. But I canīt stand the locking mechanism on the clasp. The bit you use to open the clasp with always made some noise because it didnīt really stay in place when closed. As it does with the oyster bracelet for Daytonas, GMT etc with the extra little fold over piece.

Thatīs one of the reasons I sold my DJ with oyster, and never will buy a watch with that kind of oyster bracelet again...

If I buy a DJ again it will definitely be with a jubilee! :)
