Karius was the difference tonight. Without him it’s 1-1 extra time and the lottery of penalties!

I suspect that’s the last time you’ll ever see him in a Liverpool shirt!

Saw the game and was blown away by Gareth Bale's first goal and Madrid's second. Congrats to Los Blancos on their third consecutive champions league victory

Agree with you OmegaJJH(James), felt sorry for him in the end but you cannot make those sort of errors at the top level. Cannot ever see him recover his confidence again after that performance and as a long standing Liverpool fan you could never be confident that there wasn't another one just waiting around the corner.

I was just thinking before the game Bale isn't starting and he has really gone off the boil in Spain and then he scores probably the best goal in the history of football given the context, amazing skill and control! Now get yourself to Utd!

Liverpool were a bit unlucky with Saleh and useless/double agent Karis, but on the whole Real had the better chances and deserved to win, esp as Liverpool only scored once, and not their usual 3/4 which I always felt they would need.

Yes, I thought pre-game Real would win having a team with better players and Liverpool's only chance was to do their usual thing and go full out in the first half, score several goals and hang in the second half as Real grew stronger as we tired from our first half manic exertions. So, even if Karius's mistakes had not happened, I still think Real would have overwhelmed us in the second half to win.

I never saw someone play so bad in a proffesional game like Karius did, it was ridiculous

Yes, it was a nightmare game for karius. Unfortunately for him I think that brings down the curtain on his career playing for the elite teams. No top team will want to take a chance on him having seen his display in football's(soccer) showcase event. I hope I'm wrong as I like the guy and he appeared to have improved this season but these kind of unforced errors just seem to be a part of his make up and always in his locker just waiting to come out.
