After the photos...the strap version is starting to grow on me. I don't have a nautilus on a strap. ....

At this point in time, China is the largest luxury watch goods buyer in the world.
All available statistics (check Hodinkee, etc) point to Chinese buyers being the primary driving force for high demand and increasing prices.

I'm quite keen to get a 5980a blue and might consider trading white 5726 for it plus I'll need to pay bit cash... God knows how much more for 5980r. I think around 40 or 50...

I can recall around 3 years ago a member swapped his 5980R, 5712A and added cash on top for a double sealed 5131R. Now 5980R and 5131R have similar grey market prices.
