I wonder if OP went through with this trade....

Whoever is on the receiving end of it, is laughing all the way to the bank.

I would obviously do it in a heartbeat - VC has the much superior movement.

...I know which one makes people open up their eyes wider. Well, all chicks aside and only talking about people from the horological community.

To chicks:
"I have a Rolex"
vs
"I have a Patek"

They start creaming at the word Rolex. Patek they don't even flinch. In their world a Nautilus is just an overpriced Michael Kors

How about 12 + 10k for a Lange DoubleSplit?

Looks like your heart is set on one so make sure you get a very good deal, the VC will fall a lot so factor that in.

As much as I love VC and personally want to own an overseas again, at those valuations, no way. A straight trade could be tempting, but you have one of the hottest watches in the 5712.

What’re you trying to achieve out of the trade? Financial gain or do you prefer the VC?

Lol this is the most biased thread ever. Don't think anyone bashing VC actually knows anything about the movement/specs of the watch. The same group of people who were bashing the 5712 a year ago for having a shitty dial layout.

(This is a Patek forum. Everybody will say "NO". )

If you really want a tourbillon complication, I think that Vacheron is an excellent choice. It's quite special.

This is my perspective: 5740 > Overseas Tourbillon > 5712

Truly awful trade. What a meaningless watch.

The Overseas Tourbillon has a beautiful movement with a peripheral rotor:

They say that "the hand-beveled bar on the tourbillon takes 12 hours to finish, alone":

So sad to see all the Patek WIS hold onto their Nautilus 5712, the inferior watch compared to a tourbillon from VC, just do to value on the grey market. But these same people bash investors. Quite sad.

Just because a movement is superior does not mean the watch as a package is better.
