Any reason to suspect RSC won't service this watch?

Just want to get my 1603 in for service. Should I have any worries about sending this to RSC? or should I stick with watchmaker? I have read so many bad things about non authentic parts and such on rolex's being confiscated by RSC. This is my second vintage purchase the first being an air-king. I am not an authentication of parts guru but on a 1959 DJ how the hell is anyone to know? Anyway have a look and let me know your thoughts on problems with RSC for this DJ.

Any competent watchmaker can service that for you. RSC will charge an arm and a leg for vintage work.

x2 I actually like RSC, but for watches 30+ years old the price increases dramatically (if they even have parts for it). I'd go with ABC for this one.

Any idea what ABC generally charges for movement servicing?

I didn't look at your link.

However, Rolex does not "confiscate non authentic parts". If your watch has aftermarket parts on it they simply refuse to work on it or ask you if you want those parts replaced with Rolex parts.

They DO have the right to deface counterfeit parts with their Trademark on them (remove their trademark), although I do not recall the last time I heard of them actually doing this.

your watch is from 1966, not 1959

I had my Daytona at a local watch maker.
He couldn't repair it. When he sent it to RSC Dallas for me somehow he sent it with an aftermarket crown. RSC replaced the crown and sent the aftermarket back to me with the watch. Won't use that guy again.

Thats the whole point, I do not know if this rolex has aftermarket parts on it. That was kinda why I posted to see if any of the many vintage experts here could suggest passing on RSC because they spotted aftermarket parts.
But at any rate thanks for the info.

The watch looks fine, clasp is original but may not be for that band. Everything else looks ok

Thank you for your expertise. I have actually decided to send it to VanessaCW21 for servicing. She seems very genuine and capable, also saw a killer video of her servicing a vintage sub.

From what I've read you will be in good hands with Vanessa, good luck with your watch and post some photos when you get it back.
