Bezel Submariner

At the zero position on the bezel there is a small hole where some object (a diamond maybe) was fitted in.
I would like to know the name of this object.
I could not find a parts list or a detail drawing of The Submariner showing the name of the parts on the web.
Thank you

Yeah, a little round bead fits in there, about the same size as the Hour indexes, if I understand you. I've heard some say they fall out over time, exposed to impact and what not.

It's referred to as a "pearl" and it gives off a faint glow in the dark, just like the hour markers on the dial. If it's missing, you may need to order a whole new bezel.

You can just get a new bezel insert, and not have to buy the whole bezel.

On most other watches/brands it's referred to as a "pip", but with Rolex "pearl".

Pearl or pip you can buy a new insert or just that part is replaceable alone on aluminium inserts from Rolex.

RSC just recently replaced the pearl itself ( not the insert) on my sub, so no need to get a new insert.

If the bezel is ceramic I read here they Rolex will replace the entire bezel ! That's crazy when all they need to do is glue and new pip in.

There was a post that stated the Dallas RSC is now offering pearl replacements on ceramic inserts if the watch is in the 2 year warranty period for around $120.
