Rolex Explorer II NATO Size?

Hi Everyone! This is my first post, just bought a 1998 Rolex Explorer II with the white dial, very happy, it just looks great (It's actually making it hard o concentrate, i keep looking at it... :D) To the question: I have been thinking about buying a NATO strap, what size will actually fit the Exp II? Is it a tight fit with 20mm, should i go with 18mm? Anyone have used one or the other? Been thinking about going with a green NATO (i am in the army...), anyone have one, would be very grateful for a picture with it on the arm!

Welcome. You need a 20mm strap. An 18mm strap would show the spring bars, although you might like that look. Tons of info here on NATO/nylon straps. Use the forum search tool. Congrats on your Explorer II!

Just measure between the lugs for a perfect fit although it is 20mm,myself not a huge fan of Nato straps IMHO they look best on the oyster..

Welcome aboard. It's good to have another NATO strap fan around here.

BTW, 20mm.

Thank you for all the replies! Must say i love the Oyster bracelet but will be using the NATO when doing some more physical tasks, think it will work out well. I will try the green 20mm NATO, will post some pictures when i get it. Have anyone tried the NATO in leather, is it soft enough to bend around?

Thanks! I would have to agree, it looks really nice, especially with the Swedish M90 uniform! :)
