Well, the watches are "tribology" tested by a robot simulating the various types of movements a human being wearing the watch would make, for instance while playing golf.

What about dropping the watch? At 32'/sec^2, an average drop is about 4 feet, and then the sudden stop.... it is too late in the week for this for me, any mathematicians here?

I've had my watch subjected to drops to the floor, timber and marble, and being knocked on by falling scaffolding. No problems.

Is that test taken with the watch off your wrist or on it? In my case, the extra cushion on my bod would skew the test results, along with my back.
