Does Rolex know you ?

Hi Rolex People,
I was wondering.. When you buy a Rolex from an Official AD (like I did with my 114060) and you have your name/last name/date of purchase handwritten on it together with the name of the Official Dealer you are buying from (this one not handwritten!) do these information go to Rolex HQ so they can link the watch to the Owner ?

Looking forward to hearing from you,

Thank you in advance.

Arrivederci,
Foiel

If you want your Rolex associated with you in Rolex data-base you need to do this yourself.

It is very likely that the Dealer keeps a file/record of the transaction, but there is no reason for them to share this with Rolex. They do not work for Rolex nor are they part of their corporate structure, they are an independent business.

Wouldn't it be cool if we could make our own accounts on Rolex.com and put in the serial numbers of our watches and have our own online watch box. And maybe you get perks for adding new watches or little things in the mail from Rolex. They should hire me

nope. thats what forums are for...

rolex manufactures and sells. there's no money in spending millions in collecting, storing and encrypting buyer info and serial numbers only to be subpoenaed every day from everyone from insurance companies, law enforcement to vengeful spouses...

I totally agree with Japenney.

How can I register my Watch with Rolex ? I didn't know it was possible. For me knowing that one of my favourite Watch Company gives me the chance of directly "linking" with them would surely add Romance to my Passion making me feel "part of it" and the overall Customer Experience would be much better.. I think that Rolex is too closed and isolated but I know it's part of their strategy but I don't like it all but.. I do love their watches so I forgive them. Nomos Glashutte instead is great in making you fell a part of their Company (opposite of Rolex) and I think their strategy is Fantastic as well as their watches (I will get one end of this year may be).

Rolex will 'link' your name with your watch when you get it serviced with RSC. This is the only way to do it, at least in Hong Kong.

I always thought this was nice. Although it's no big deal. Logging in to APs website and seeing your name and your watch is fun. I suppose it could provide some security in a theft because your name is on record with the serial number. Also there's a possibility it prevents fakes from circulating because AP won't recognize a fake serial.

That's because it's not a Rolex or Forum acronym, or any acronym for that matter.. It's just note-hand for Audemars Piguet, a particular watch brand.

Yes that's exactly right in fact...I had a few service issues at the service center in Toronto so I know I'm definitely in there Data bank now. I even got to meet the CEO who is a standup guy unfortunately the service could be better out here in Toronto nonetheless they did take care of me .... But they will definitely add you in to the system when you take a watch in for either warranty work or service
