Assistance with 9315 Clasp Authentication

Hello Vintage Crew.

I could use your assistance is deciphering if this 9315 clasp is original. Overall it looks good, but the codes in the clasp being “S” & “W2” confuse me a bit. Also, the lack of indents on the end of clasp where the wetsuit extension would clip in are more reminiscent of a later 93150 clasp. I have Googled the above and found other examples with the same attributes, but wanted to hear your opinions.

Example I found on VRM: http://www.network54.com/Forum/20767....+USD1180+each

Thank you in advance for your input!

Looks like a service clasp from February, 1995 to me.

I can't tell if it is/was a complete bracelet or if only the clasp was replaced. Probably a complete bracelet based on how tight the links appear.

Thank you for the info so far guys. Yes, I knew the "S" stood for service and "W2" stood for 1995, but found it strange to see those dates on a 9315 clasp. The bracelet is a project I am putting together so the links are from a 7836 and in good shape so my concern is only the clasp.
