Info on this so say 1959 sub please.
So I have been offered this watch. The description is of a 1959 sub. Now, with research, it is a 5512 but the dial is wrong? I think it should just read “Swiss” ?
Thoughts please, and is £12000 too much? No box or papers, and last serviced 5 years ago, by whom I don’t know Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk |

Cant say anything to that except that the dial and hands seem to be relumed- and that quite bad. It may be the lighting but that’s how it looks. Just my 2 cents!

Thanks. I wasn’t sure where I would get replies as some sub forums are a little quiet! I have asked for the serial number to confirm. Do you know there well? Does this look a sensible buy? Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk |

Looks good, price good, but as others mentioned, mid 60s if the dial is original.
Is it confirmed as a 5512 (i.e. possible 5513)? You should ask for pics with the caseback off. Pics of the caseback and pics of the movement with calibre #. |

As far as I know, this is NOT a correct dial for a 5512. If the case is 5513, then yes - mid 60s (case back can be 5512, the watch is still a 5513). If the case is 5512, then the dial is not correct.
