Value of papers question

The warranty paper for one of my watches has the original owner name covered with whiteout. Does that decrease the value?! I ask that tongue-in-cheek.

I always get papers, but mainly because it's easier to resell. I have very few watches that I keep unfortunately...mainly due to cash constraints though
