Thanks for reminding me why I don’t do it.

I assume that when you’re done, you’ll make that look as good as new.

Seems like softer bracelets made of leather are en Vogue now so there is at least that.

The thought of a metal bracelet against a watch is just painful

I wouldn't have expected any other type of result of doing that.

Hey where what you like, you only live once and it’s just a watch. That being said, I loathe the whole bracelet with a watch (unless you’re a female) look. It completely screams “I’m trying way to hard to get you to notice I’m wearing a Rolex”.

Only leather on occasions and, always with a concealed clasp (non scratch)

Wrong.

Even a soft leather bracelet will give the sides of you case, bracelet and clasp a dull finish after a few weeks.

Maybe this will be the new patina trend that retailers will market so that they dont have to polish a watch when they sell it. I can see it now..

Not quite as savage but that reminds me of a bloke I used to work with, he used a scouring pad to clean bird poo off his car! Should have seen the state of it. He’d recently moved down the coast and it got covered by the Seagulls so he really went to town

I’m not a big bracelet guy. But yeah I’d imagine they don’t wear well with watches. Too much metal on metal.

I had a bunch of surface scratches on my sub from having my hand in pockets with a pocket knife clipped.

Completely agree with you ! All these pictures on the internet of people's wrists wearing super expensive watches and a ton of metal bracelets together...??? I know it's their watch, their money,...but for "horology's sake",...show some respect for the timepieces...don't just use them as flashy items to display your wealth...pretend you know, at least, a little bit about watches.................!!!
