104 or perhaps a general ?
ive never had an automatic watch or a panerai and have a ?. i have a 104.
when the time is, say, 3:05:00 should the minute hand be exactly lined up with the hash mark? mine seems to be exactly over the hash at 3:05:15. |

Depends on how you set it. If you set it the the second hand at zero and the minute hand precisely lined up on the minute marker, taking into account the 'play' in the hands when you set it, then yeah, it should be lined up or very close. There is a certain amount of 'play' in the hands and also it is very difficult for the minute and second hand to be PERFECT on every single minute for a given hour. It is the nature of mechanical devices.
