I’m so happy to finally get my first Rolex watch. And hope to keep it a long time.

What do you think about it’s condition ?
It’s a little bit scratched but I believe the condition is very good for 1993.

Congrats! My first was a Submariner 16610 S serial (new) at 28 years of age back on 1995 (which still own)!

Reference is 16610. I don’t wear it a lot lately as have some other sport watches, but it’s a keeper!!

Dude, this is a fabulous watch. Huge congratulations! I bought my first Rolex at 28 in 1995 upon graduating from grad school, and it was a GMT 16 700. Still got it!!

The one thing I can tell you, is that this watch makes me feel how quick the last 25 years went! I wore that watch in my wedding, the birth of both of my children, And countless other critical family and personal events.

Congrats! I was 18 when I purchased my first Sub w/out date! Traded it in 9 months later for a GMT Master II which I still own( I was back from basic training and had some money to spend) turns out to have been not a half bad investment in this crazy Rolex market. Enjoy! Life is just a little better with a great watch around your wrist.

I was about your age when I bought my first, a 1016 Explorer which I still enjoy wearing today. All my Rolex give me great pleasure to wear, but the 1016 is something else.

No seriously I was 19-20ish, I financed it. (don't bash the finance part, most kids my age would finance a stereo :))

Congratulations on the 1993 DJ... Were you looking for a birth year Rolex?
My first Rolex was a present from my mom and dad when I turned 18 (1988) a SS DJ white roman dial on Jubilee that I sold a year later to buy a 5513. I don't regret letting go of the DJ but I sure do regret letting the 5513 go (a few years later) to acquire a Sea-Dweller 16600

Does a Tudor Snowflake count?? I bought mine last year at age 36. I had wanted a blue snowflake for 10 years, ever since I first saw one in a vintage shop in NYC.

Congratulations. The DJ appears to be in fine condition for that age and wear. A good find.

Was 36 when I received my first Rolex...a new SD from my wife when I made partner.

Yeah, me too! (Mid twenties anyway) Mine was an Airking Date but the first Rolex is always special.

Congratulations, that reference is in good shape it just needs a little polishing up. A good soap and water with a soft toothbrush will do and you can decide later.

Enjoy your new acquisition.
